RAPAPORT… The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) recently certified Aurum Holdings, one of the U.K.’s largest luxury jewelers, deeming that it has met the ethical, human rights, social and environmental standards required by the council. Aurum Holding joins five other jewelers around the world to be certified by the RJC.
”The RJC is delighted to congratulate Aurum on becoming the sixth jewelry retailer to be certified by the RJC,” said Michael Rae, RJC’s chief executive. ”The successful certification assessment of Aurum Holdings Ltd. was conducted by SGS, one of the independent third party-auditing firms accredited to the RJC’s Member Certification System. The certification of Aurum Holdings is a noteworthy advance in RJC U.K. member certification.”
Aurum Holdings, based in Leicester U.K., was established in 2007 and has more than 200 stores that employ nearly 2,000 people.
