PRESS RELEASE, February 17, 2010: The Rapaport Group is pleased to announce a special presentation: “Martin Rapaport on Diamond Prices.” The presentation will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2010 in the Montreal Hall at the Basel Congress Center in Basel, Switzerland.
The Annual Rapaport Fair Trade Jewelry Conference – Baselworld will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the same venue. The Fair Trade Conference will address the issue of human rights and the jewelry industry, with a special focus on what the diamond and jewelry industry can and should do about the situation in Marange, Zimbabwe. There will also be important discussions about industry initiatives designed to establish responsible jewelry practices and Fair Trade jewelry.
