RAPAPORT… The newly-appointed governor of Manicaland, Zimbabwe, Christopher Mushohwe met with law enforcement this week to discuss ways in which to curb diamond looting.
The government contends foreign nationals continue to take diamonds from the Chiadzwa area. The Zimbabwe Herald newspaper quoted Mushohwe saying, “We have to put our heads together — the law enforcement agents, the judiciary and everyone — to fight this menace and ensure that we clean the Chiadzwa diamond area of these looters.”
