RAPAPORT… The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KP) is scheduled to hold its fifth annual Intercessional meeting this week in New Delhi, India.
The meeting, which will run from June 17-19, takes place as a means for the KP to take a half-yearly stock of the scheme’s implementation, and to plan for the year ahead.
India is the 2008 KP chair so it will host the meeting.
Delegates from about 35 countries are expected to attend the meeting and participate in the various joint sessions, the KP said in a statement.
The scheme currently has 48 members representing 74 countries, with members of the European Community counted as one individual participant.
