Cecilia Gardner, JVC’s president, CEO, and general counsel, said, “JVC’s Legal Compliance DVD series is the natural companion to JVC’s compliance handbooks and our USA PATRIOT Act Compliance Kit (PACK) for anti-money laundering program development.
“Jewelers have been asking JVC to develop a DVD series on a wide range of important topics and JVC has responded with two information-rich DVDs that can be purchased together or individually,” she said.
As JVC’s president, Gardner presents legal compliance education seminars to jewelers across the United States and represents the industry’s needs before the government agencies that govern how the industry does business.
“I speak to a lot of jewelers. I answer many questions from jewelers and consumers. And I explain a lot of the laws pertaining to the manufacture, sale and marketing of fine jewelry,” she said.
GE Money sponsored the legal compliance DVD series. GE Money vice president of sales, Regina Leadem, said, that legal compliance education in the industry is critical to building consumer confidence. “The content and presentation on JVC’s legal compliance and anti-money laundering DVDs can help jewelers understand and comply with the laws pertaining to their businesses.”
“We value our relationship with JVC and have been a corporate sponsor for several years. GE Money shares JVC’s commitment to providing legal compliance education to all corners of the jewelry industry,” Leadem said.
JVC member pricing is $15 for one DVD and $25 for the two-DVD set. Pricing for non-JVC members is $20 for one DVD and $30 for the two-DVD set.
