(Rapaport…January 16, 2003) The first annual plenary meeting of Kimberley Process participants and observers will be held April 28 through April 30, 2003 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The meeting is being held to discuss the effectiveness of the new rough diamond certification plan, according to Abbey Chikane, the Kimberley Process chairman. Invitations, registration forms and a draft agenda will be issued by the end of January, Chikane said.
