UN Committee Says Angola’s Condition is Improving

(Rapaport…January 21, 2002) A United Nations sanctions committee said that Angola’s condition has been improving. The statement came after the committee completed a five-day investigation into the sanctions imposed on Angola’s rebel group, UNITA. The team will return to the area again in February and prepare a report that it will present to the UN Secruity Council in April.
